Salzburg Research is the non-profit research organisation of the State of Salzburg. Since 1996 the company conducts applied technological and socio-economic research in ICTs. Main application sectors are digital media, tourism and transport, health, culture and education.
SRFG has four departments that specialize in research on ICT innovation, users and organizational impact, Semantic Web systems and services for knowledge workers, location-based services, and QoS-based internet technologies. SRFG is also certified according to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard.
To agINFRA we bring the joint research, development and service expertise of our Innovation Lab (iLab) and Knowledge and Media Technologies (KMT) departments as well as long-standing experience in European cooperative research and coordination projects.

Guntram Geser (Dr., MTM) is senior researcher in SRFG’s Innovation Lab (http://www.salzburgresearch.at/en/person/ggeser/). His research interests include ICT research & development roadmaps, technology monitoring & assessment, and studies on ICT user requirements, technology adoption and organizational impact. He has been the lead researcher in a number of EU projects and edited major reports such as “Semantic Approaches for Including Digital Cultural and Bio-Heritage Resources in the European Digital Library” (STERNA 2009), “Research Agenda for the Applications of ICT to Cultural Heritage” (EPOCH 2008) or “OLCOS Roadmap for Open Educational Resources 2012” (2007). |
